After turning her designing hand to sunglasses, jeans and fragrance lines, Victoria Beckham is now heading for the big time.
She’s just announced her plans to come out with a line of high end womenswear - focusing on dresses, mainly - which may debut in the autumn during New York Fashion Week. Forget you, London. The dresses will be very “sophisticated” and will start at around £600.
In other VB news, David and Victoria will be moving into the prestige fragrance end of the market, with Signature for Her and Signature For Him. Alas, the video shoot for the ad campaign didn’t go according to plan. Victoria told WWD:
“It’s a simple video, quite choppy. The truth is that it was meant to be one way, and I didn’t like it, so we reedited it. There isn’t much of a story [to it] now, but there’s good music.”
Clearly Victoria missed the memo about key marketing strategies. Forget the story. Forget the music. Put your hubby in his skivvies and we promise, we will be buying.
