Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin are officially husband and wife. Congratulations to them and their money.
The civil ceremony for their marriage took place last week, with just eight family members present, no rings exchanged, and Coleen in a pretty, rather understated dress (by WAG standards). The real blow out is the blessing ceremony (with the Marchesa gown and the fireworks and the etcs), which takes place a few days later.
Other footie guests spotted at the masked ball event last night: Michael and Lisa Carrick. Strangely absent from the entire precedings: Steven and Alex Gerrard, who have flown out to Miami. Le snub? Say it isn’t so, Alex? Lest we forget, Col hired a helicopter to make it to the Curran-Gerrard ceremony everyone else’s wedding but Alex’s last year. Perhaps the snub is not so undeserved.
