Declare Yourself’s new ad campaign, titled “Only You Can Silence Yourself”, is aimed at energizing young Americans to vote in the 2008 presidential election.

Featuring a mix of “real people” and young celebrities, the overall concept of the campaign is anything but subtle. The impactful, unique spots are aimed at making those who see them stop, look, discuss, and, ultimately, become moved to participate.

2008 has been the year that saw Roger Federer come down from his cloud to show the world small chinks in his armour.

Apparently Becks was at Jermain Dupri’s birthday bash in Chicago, when he met an opportunistic scoundrel who passed himself off as Rex Lee (better known as Lloyd from Entourage, pictured) and convinced Goldenballs to get him into the VIP area.
Someone with a gossipy tongue told the New York Daily News: “It wasn’t the real Rex Lee and Becks brought him into the VIP area and spent the whole night drinking with him.”

The Manchester United star, recently linked to a string of other girls, didn’t even call Spanish beauty Nereida Gallardo to end their seven-month relationship, she claims.

Nereida, 24, says the 80million star was an impressive lover and she was devastated when she got his text.

“He is very good in bed. That’s why I was with him,” she said. “We had sex the first night we met.”

Speaking about their romance for the first time, she said: “I was upset by the way he finished the relationship, which to me seems 100 per cent cowardly. He is very immature.”

Nereida blames Ronaldo’s mum Dolores for the break-up.

“There were some problems with his family as they were a little jealous,” she said.

“He’s very manipulated by his mother and she was always very protective towards him, which is normal, but she never called me to try to sort things out.”

The couple met in January while Ronaldo, 23, was clubbing in her home city of Palma, Majorca. They spent two weeks holidaying on a 10million yacht in Sardinia as Ronaldo nursed an injured ankle.

But the relationship hit the rocks while he was in Los Angeles recovering from an operation. He was seen with a succession of women, including blonde US TV actress Tina Powers, another American called Jen and a mystery Scottish girl.

Before the split the $120,000-a-week striker regularly flew Nereida and two pals over to Britain for sleepovers in his 4million mansion in Cheshire, which has a swimming pool, jacuzzi and private cinema.

He lavished her with expensive gifts including a designer handbag and an Armani belt. But Nereida didn’t think much of Manchester.

“The city is a little bit sad and the nightclubs close early,” she said. “Life was only PlayStation, movies on TV and sex. But his house is  impressive, with three floors.”

She also suspected him of cheating on her during their time together.

“I was faithful throughout our relationship but I’m not sure about him,” she said. “I found text messages in Spanish one day on his mobile phone that made me suspicious.”

Ronaldo was said to be furious over claims that Nereida slept with Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos before the couple met.

But in the interview on Spanish TV she insisted she was just friends with the Madrid defender.

A spokeswoman for Ronaldo refused to comment.
