All good things must come to an end
Houston’s 22-game winning streak, the second longest ever in the NBA, is history.
Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics stopped the Rockets’ remarkable run in emphatic fashion Tuesday night, pulling away in the second half for a 94-74 victory. The Celtics is currently the best team in the NBA, with an amazing 54-13 record and a guaranteed spot in the playoffs
The longest winning streak still belongs to the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers, who won 33 in a row. They had hall of famers Jerry West, Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain.
NBA’s longest winning streaks
| Games | Team | Date |
| 33 | Lakers | Nov. 5, 1971-Jan. 7, 1972 |
| 22 | Rockets | Jan. 29-March 18, 2008 |
| 20 | Bucks | Feb. 6-March 8, 1971 |
| 19 | Lakers | Feb. 4-March 13, 2000 |
There is still people out there (haters) that think this streak was just pure luck and that the Rockets is still not a contender. I mean, if the winning streak is built solely on luck, why has only one other team in NBA history ever done it? The rockets shot from the 9th place in the West to the 1st thanks to this amazing run.
